One shot film completed

Despite a minor set back due to the weather (heavy snow) we have managed to shoot our one shot film, and are pleased with the result.
We also changed the concept of the film as orginally it involved three members of our group however it has now involves two group members.
A lot of hard work and time went into this project and we were all proud of the end result..Aside from changing the story and the numbers of characters the location still remained the same, as did our idea for making a horror film.

One Shot

For our third and final project we have been assigned the task of creating our very own One Shot film which will run for approximately just under a minute. The concept for our film is Zombie inspired and as we have begun to shoot our film we are also researching into famous directos of horror films such as George A Romeo and Alfred Hitchcock.

The location for our One shot film will be in the Arboretum near Nottingham Trent City site and we are hoping to to shoot the film late afternoon as it now becomes dark at 4pm.

Here are a few examples of videos that inspired us:

Rationale for my animation

Rationale for Animation

As part of my first term's module specification I was required to design a 30 second ident through using Auto desk 3D max software. Throughout the three weeks we were given guides to which would help us understand the basics of animation.
Once I had created my ident on Auto 3D max I then had to render it and once that stage was completed I then uploaded my ident onto Vimeo to finalise it. Upon completion the animation would be uploaded and then embedded into my own personal blog which is also linked to the reflective journals website.
The process which went into creating my own 30second ident was challenging yet interesting, my ident is called "My happy teapot", through using the guidelines given to me I was able to make my teapot jump whilst the title on the floor also moved so they would be in sync. In addition to attending classes I also looked at you tube tutorials which helped me understand the animation process a bit more, I then made notes which I would use in class for my work.

Finally as I saved my work as a QuickTime video rather than a still (which I originally did) when it came to exporting my ident I had to re-render my work on Premier Pro and use a higher quality format due to the size of my ident as it did not comply with the Vimeo compression guidelines and therefore would not load and as a result, my ident is now H.246 and is set to Youtube widescreen SD.

I am pleased with the outcome of my work as I have learnt a lot in a small amount of time and despite initially finding it difficult in the beginning I now feel I understand the basics of animation and its design process.

15 photographs

Hi everyone,

This is the first of many blogs, as part of my project on interactive space I have been asked to create a website by using 15 photographs which tell a story. The concept for my interative space was to find my way home starting from my house and ending up back there.

Each picture will link you to the next steps you will need to take in a bid to get from point A to B. I thought this would be a good and fun way learn how to navigate around this interactive space.

I hope you like it x
